Accolent ERP allows the creation of delivery routes for delivery of orders to customers. Delivery routes must first be created, then they may be assigned to specific customers. When orders are created for a customer the primary delivery route assigned to that customer will default onto the order. The default delivery route may also be changed on the order, to put that order onto a different delivery route without changing the customer’s delivery route assignment. The delivery routes appear on the List Fulfillments screen and allow for sorting of orders by delivery route.

Creating Delivery Routes

  • Go to Settings > Value Lists > Delivery Routes to set up the list of delivery routes.
  • Delivery Route Codes may be up to 15 alphanumeric characters.
  • Set up the NorthBay delivery route.

Assign Delivery Routes to Customers

  • From a customer, select Actions > Delivery Routes to assign delivery routes.
  • Assign Delivery Route NorthBay to customer 011.
  • More than one Delivery Route may be assigned to a customer.
  • One Delivery Route may be designated as the primary route and will by default apply to all orders for that customer.

  • Similarly assign Delivery Route Local and NorthBay to customer 120123.
  • If no delivery route is assigned to a customer, no delivery route will be defaulted that customer’s orders.

Default Delivery Routes on Orders

  • Create orders 66384, and 66385 for customer 120123 which default to Delivery Route Local.
  • Create order 66386 for customer 011 which defaults to Delivery Route NorthBay.
  • If no Delivery Route is assigned to a customer, nothing will be defaulted onto orders for the customer.
  • To change or assign a Delivery Route to an order, open the order and select from the dropdown on the Shipping Details tab.

  • Move orders 66834, 66835 and 66836 to fulfillment.
  • The Delivery Routes show on the List Fulfillments screen.
  • Orders may be sorted by Delivery Route, batched and picked by Delivery Route, or loaded by Deliver Route.

Changing Assigned Delivery Routes

  • Open order 66836 use the dropdown on the Shipping Details tab to change the Delivery Route from NorthBay to Local.
  • This doesn’t change the default Delivery Route for Customer 011, just the Delivery Route for this order.
  • All 3 orders may be batched and picked, packed and loaded together.

Searching by Delivery Route

  • The List Orders and List Fulfillments screens display the Delivery Route associated with each order.
  • Using the Advanced Search fields on these screens as well as the grid filters, allows all orders on a given Delivery Route to be found and prioritized if, for example, a truck is leaving shortly.
