Accolent ERP allows for Bill-To and Ship-To customers. Every order specifies a Bill-To customer and a Ship-To customer – which may be the same as the Bill-To. If sales do not need to be tracked by the ship-to address, a separate Ship-To customer is not needed. If sales do need to be tracked by ship-to address, then distinct Ship-To customers are required. Pricing on orders is typically based on the Ship-To customer but may be specified to use the pricing methods set up for the Bill-To customer.

Linking Bill-To and Ship-To Customers
- Bill-To customers and Ship-To customers are unique customers in Accolent ERP.
- Once Bill-To customer and Ship-To customer are set up, the Ship-To can then be linked to its Bill-To customer.
- The Actions > Ship-To Customers screen for a Bill-To customer displays all its linked Ship-To customers.
- Bill-To Customer 011 shown below, in addition to itself as the Ship-To, has Ship-To Customers 011-1, 011-2 and 011-4.
Pricing By Ship-To Customers
- To determine the pricing applied to any customer, Accolent ERP goes through a series of sequential pricing methods (e.g., Contracts, Advertised Pricing, Matrix Pricing, Quantity Breaks). See this wiki: Pricing Overview.
- A Ship-To customer, though linked to a Bill-To customer, is a distinct entity for pricing purposes.
- Unless specified otherwise, all pricing is always by Ship-To customer – which may be the same as the Bill-To customer.
Pricing for Bill-To Customer 011
- Pricing for Bill-To customer 011 with itself as the Ship-To, is set based on Contract: “Valves” which specifies a 10% discount from List Price for product 18JP1000V.
- Create Order 63283 for Bill-To customer 011 and Ship-To customer 011.
- Pricing for product 18JP1000V is at $34.20/EA, a 10% discount from List Price, plus sales tax of 8.5%.
Pricing for Ship-To Customer 011-1
- Pricing for Bill-To customer 011 with Ship-To customer 011-1 is based on Contract: “Valves-01” which specifies a 5% discount from List Price for product 18JP1000V.
- Create Order 63284 for Bill-To customer 011 and Ship-To customer 011-1.
- Pricing for product 18JP1000V is at $36.10/EA, a 5% discount from List Price plus sales tax of 9.25%.
Override Pricing by Ship-To to be Based on Bill-To
- To set the pricing for Bill-To Customer 011 and Ship-To Customer 011-1 to be based on the Bill-To instead of the Ship-To, go the Ship-To Customers screen and select the Use Bill-To Pricing checkbox.
- Now mark Ship-To Customer 011-1 to use Bill-To pricing.
- Now create order 63285 for Bill-To customer 011 and Ship-To customer 011-1 as before.
- Pricing for the same product 18JP1000V is now based on the Bill-To at $34.20/EA, or a 10% discount to List Price plus sales tax of 9.25%.
- The List Orders screen shows the 3 different orders created.
