Change One Cost Using Another Cost

Accolent ERP provides various utilities that allow for maintenance and updating of Costs and Prices. These utilities are accessed from Price/Cost > Adjust Costs and Price > Change Costs / Price Options. There are three options available: (1) Change Costs and/or Price by a Specified Percentage; (2) Change Prices by a Factor of Costs; and (3) Change one Cost using another Cost. Price/Cost Utilities

• The Price/Cost Utilities are accessed from Price/Cost > Change Cost / Price Options.
• The three Change Cost / Price Options wikis are:
  • Change by a Specified Percentage
  • Change Price by a Factor of Cost
  • Change one Cost using another Cost.

Select Products

• Use the filters to create a population of products for which the Costs and/or Prices need to be changed.
• In this example, select products AF-ECO, AF-EHD, AF-HDU and AF-STD from Vendor Air Filters R Us.
• Look up List Price, Standard Cost and Alternate Cost for Warehouse 1 for each item:

Change one Cost using a Factor of another Cost

• Go to Price/Cost > Change Cost / Price Options > Change one Cost using Another Cost.
• Select Vendor Air Filters R Us.
• Select one Source Cost and one Destination Cost.
• Select Warehouse 1.
• Enter a Factor.
• This updates the Destination Cost (Standard) to the Source Cost (Alternate) x Factor.
• E.g., Select Vendor=107; Source Cost=Alternate; Destination Cost=Standard; Warehouses=1; Factor=1.15.

• Click on the Process button.
• Message indicating success updating 4 records.

Verify Updated Records

• Go to Product AF-ECO.
• List Price is unchanged at $9.57.

• Standard Cost is updated to $5.00 x 1.15 = $5.75 for Warehouse 1 and unchanged for Warehouse 4.

• Alternate Costs are unchanged.

• Similarly, Standard Costs were updated correctly as 1.15 x Alternate Cost for AF-EHD, AF-HDU and AF-STD.
• Alternate Costs were left unchanged.
