Accolent ERP tracks inventory by location for products that require this. Based on the warehouse numbering plan first create Locations then, a product may be assigned any number of locations specifying a minimum and maximum quantity of the product for each location. Once tracking Inventory by Location is enabled for the product, every transaction for that product will require specifying the locations from which to increment or decrement tracked quantities of that product.
Set up Tracking Inventory by Location
- To enable Inventory by Location, Locations have first to be set up for the product.
- Product I700-1.00 has tracking Inventory by Location enabled.

- Ledger Card shows 18 EA.

- Locations shows 18 EA in 2 Locations.

Receive PO
- Receive PO C9112 for 15 EA of I700-1.00.
- PO Receipt requires specifying locations for received items.
- Receive 2 EA to Primary Location A2-R3-S2-B2 and 13 EA to secondary location A8-R2-S2-B2.

- Merchandise Receiver specifies put-away location for warehouse personnel.
- Product Ledger Card now shows Qty of 33 EA.
- Locations shows Qty of 33 EA in two locations.

Sell the Product
- Create order 66165 to sell Qty 12 EA of product I700-1.00 and move to Fulfillment.
- Fulfillment requires picker to specify where the 12 EA were picked from, in this case, from the primary location.

- Order 66165 can then be shipped and invoiced.
- Ledger card now shows Qty of 21 EA and Location shows Qty of 21 EA in 2 locations.


Adjust Locations
- To adjust the Locations to move 12 EA to replenish primary location, enter a zero adjustment on the Locations screen.
- If the new quantities are entered incorrectly so that total QOH doesn’t match the adjusted quantities, the screen will not Save the changes.

Adjust Inventory
- After a physical inventory count, enter a Manual Inventory Adjustustment to reflect a Qty of 1 EA that was missing.
- Created an adjustment and posted successfully to the General Ledger.

- Update Location screen and Save.
